Those in the Know

The Nixon/Republican, “southern strategy” has worked. The poorest and most uneducated of our citizens have been duped into voting against their own interest. Empowered by the manipulating forces of corporate greed. Armed with misguided patriotism and embedded racism, they have given their power to the robber barons who seek to repress them. They tea bagers have turned their guns on themselves and now this Frankenstein experiment is now out of control. And who can stop it? It is the grapes of wrath sequel..

The post WW11 attack on organized labor by the super rich corporations, really hit its stride under Ronald Reagan. Reagan's bust of the air traffic controllers union did more to hurt the American work force than any other act by any President. That act and the subsequent, Clinton/ Bush NFTA agreements, set in motion, the biggest jobs killing era in American History. Ross Perot, independent presidential candidate, and a true deficit hawk, predicted correctly that we would hear a giant sucking sound of jobs moving out of the United States. Reagan's assault on the air traffic controllers and N.A.F.T.A, all but eliminated private sector unions.

The hypocrites disguised as congressman who once again control the house of representatives, who sat on there hands and rubber stamped President Bush's spending spree under the cover of Dick Chaney's “deficits don't matter” mantra, put two wars of choice and a trillion dollar pharmaceutical give away, on our credit card. Now the corporate controlled congress and White House proposes to cut care for the poor and continue subsidies to the most profitable corporations in history, in what is becoming the greatest battle of class warfare in modern American history.

The revolutions in the middle east we are witnessing are about economic disparity.

A small group of people (royal families) with the aid of their big bully friends (England, United States and Europe) have exploited their citizens for decades. Because of social media people in the middle east, are realizing they are in the majority and they want they're fair share of their countries assets. Simple as that that. This is not about religion this is about money. Eighty percent of Egyptian were living on less than two dollars a day, when their revolution started. Think about how far you would get on two dollars a day.

America, look at the middle east. You may be looking at your future, if the disparity of wealth in our country is not addressed. If the current trend continues and the balance of wealth continues its lopsided trajectory and the middle class continues to be dis-empowered, sadly we may see the same thing, one day in the streets of America. Oh wait we are already seeing it in Wisconsin.

Yes , the Republican southern strategy has worked. The poorest, most uneducated, have been duped into voting against their own interest. With misguided patriotism, contrived morality and disguised racism.  But the Frankenstein experiment is now out of control. Who can stop it. I fear no one.

We’re Number two News flash to all Americans! Take your USA “we’re Number 1” tee shirts and put them in the attic. They have lost most of they’re value and they are just not that useful right now. I know I have just sent a title wave of anger through many readers. Sorry about that. But take a deep breath and think about this. Being Number one can be over rated. Just ask Elvis or Michael Jackson. Wait a minute, they’re dead, and we can’t ask them. Ok, ask Barry Bonds or Mark Maguire. The point is second place is a great place to be. Remember Avis car rental “we’re number two and we try harder”. Most people root for the underdog, the come from behind victory, and the long shot. Come on, don’t you love it when the winning team says; “no body gave us a chance”? In fact what could be more American? Remember the revolution? England was number one and we beat them. .Hitler had the number one Army on the planet and we beat him. Who roots for goliath? Look at it this way. All that pressure would be off of us if we didn’t have to pretend that we are number one in everything. That takes a lot of energy. Let’s take health care for instance. Every independent research study shows, that the good old U.S.A is no longer number one in health care. But how many times have you heard, “we have the best heath care in the world”. I hear it all the time, but it comes from H.M.O's and politicos, who are in the pocket of H.M.O's and Uncle Harry who hasn’t read a book since before he went to war in Korea. And he gets his information from O’Riley, Sean Hennity and Rush Limbaugh. (bless his heart). And the cost of keeping up this “We’re Number one in everything” front is enormous. You have to generate immense amounts of propaganda. And then there are the cover ups and the bribery and manipulation of the media. It’s all a waste of resources. When we can just say, ok we’re number 4 or 5 or 37 in over all heath care. Boom just like that, the pressure’s off and we can go about the business of making heath care better. It’s like when your 50 years old and you decide having a ripped stomach is not going to happen. The pressure’s off and you can enjoy your work out. And we don’t have to give up all our number one spots. We can keep our ranking of most lethal military on plant earth. Or most nuclear weapons and best beer commercials. But number one in everything, Come on! Its way over due, let’s give that up. Ross Falzone Citizen and proud (but not foolish) American
